MASTER Mainman Is Looking Forward To North American Tour
August 12, 2008Veteran death metallers MASTER will tour the United States for the first time in a decade to coincide with the North American release of their new album, "Slaves to Society", on Ibex Moon Records. The CD, which came out in Europe last year on Twilight Records, will receive a domestic release on September 16 (with bonus tracks).
Commented bassist/vocalist Paul Speckmann: "I am really pleased to announce the release of 'Slaves to Society' in North America on Ibex Moon Records and I am certainly looking forward to visiting the USA for the first time in five years. I look forward to sharing my vision of my music with the fans of America. I hope people will come out to see one of the first original bands of the genre. Support on the trek will come from ESTUARY.
"Collection of Souls", the third album from MASTER, will be reissued in the spring of 2009 via Displeased Records. The remastered LP, which was originally released in 1993, will include bonus tracks consisting of the "Final Word" demo and the tracks from the split seven-inch EP with EXCISION. The album cover will also be "slightly updated," according to a press release.
MASTER is planning to hit the road in Europe in early 2009 with support from CASTROFATE (USA),FERAL (Sweden) and NIGHTMARE VISIONS (UK).
